So a nearby junkyard has had this coupe body sitting outside its fence for the last few weeks, apparently with no idea what to do with it. I’ve only been glancing it from the road, but on the way to a photo shoot yesterday, I stopped to check it out and grab some pics.
From the road, the solid windows and windshield led me to believe that this was just a fiberglass body that somebody bought, but never proceeded to install on a chassis. But up close, looking at all the inner structure, it looks more like this may have been a buck for pulling fiberglass bodies from.
I was hoping to find a front end around, but no such luck. Anybody recognize it?
BTW, I did call the junkyard later on. The guy who answered the phone said he heard it was a buck for a drag car body and that the front half of it is still kicking around there somewhere.
