Think back to our post on automobile-related design patents, and you’ll recall one odd patent by Brooks Stevens (D154080) with no context attached. Fortunately for us, Richard Langworth wrote an article for SIA #52, August 1979, detailing the stillborn front-wheel-drive small-car project Stevens worked on for Henry J. Kaiser, HJK’s second attempt at a front-driver.
